China Print Awards, jointly organized by the Printing and Printing Equipment Industries
Association of China (PEIAC), the Hong Kong Printers Association, the Taiwan Printing
Industry Association, the Macao Printers Association, have been officially established.
They are the first awards of theirs kind to highlight the superior qualities of
printers in Mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. The goals of these awards
are to raise the overall level of printing quality in China's printing industry.
They will also promote an exchange of technological information between China's
printing businesses, and enhance China's international competitiveness.
China Print Awards are divided into five categories, with over 40 individual awards
handed out, including awards for: publication and commercial printing, package printing,
digital printing, screen and special printing, and security printing. These events
will be held annually, and the awards given will reflect the achievements in those
respective fields.
In order to be eligible for awards, projects must be completed between January 1,
2006 and December 31, 2006. The first awards ceremony will take place on April 10,
2007, during the China (Guangdong) International Printing Exhibition. This exhibition
will be held from April 10-13, 2007, at the Guangdong Modern International Exhibition
Center, located at Houjie Street, Dongguan, Guangdong. The Guangdong International
Printing Exhibition is held every four years, and is as well known as China Print.
Winning products will be featured at a special gallery and can be viewed by the
news media and prospective customers.
China Print Awards provides a wonderful opportunity for China's printing businesses
to showcase their innovative and technically superior products in an international
competition. The English language publication, "THE PATH TO CHINA," published by
sponsors of the China Print Awards, is the vehicle through which changes and developments
in China's printing industry can be introduced to an international market.
